After Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, 26, joins the cast of Joker: Madness for Two. According to reports, the maze runner star landed a key role in the Joker sequel. Tedd Phillips, the director of the 2019 Joker, confirmed the sequel in June this year with an Instagram post. Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn, and as for Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson, their roles have not yet been confirmed.
The director, Tedd Phillips, hasn’t revealed anything about the film except that it will be a musical, and will take place in Arkham Asylum. However, fans are already suggesting what the movie might follow based on its title Folie à Deux, which is a medical term used to describe the same or similar mental disorder that affects two or more people.

Jacob Lofland has a key role in Joker 2
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jacob Lofland is cast in joker 2 for a key role. While many assume the actor will play the younger version of Joker 2.
As soon as the news broke, people started discussing how Jacob Lofland suited the role as a youngster. Joker. Assuming the sequel can mirror some of Arthur Fluck’s past in joker 2fans have started to speculate that Jacob Lofland will play the youngster Joker. Many even said it looked like Joker.

Young Joker was not the only character assumed for the actor. Fans have also talked about the fact that he could take on the role of Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow, a psychology professor who turns into a criminal mastermind. Another role that fans assumed he would take on was that of teenager or young Bruce Wayne.

While that may not be possible, The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that Lofland will play an inmate of Akhram Asylum, who develops a close relationship with Arthur Fluck, aka The Joker.

Jacob Lofland debuted with 2013 Mid and later had a supporting role in the maze runner franchise, where he played Aris.
Joker: Madness for Two in development
After announcing the sequel to the Oscar-winning, billion-dollar movie Joker, the studio is continually making new additions to the film’s cast. Grammy and Oscar-winning artist Lady Gaga was the first addition to the cast, which will play Harley Quinn.
The film will also have a musical touch. Catherine Keener should be a doctor or other inmate at Arkham Asylum. Brendan Gleeson should be the warden or security guard at Arkham Asylum.
Zazie Beetz could also return as Sophie Dumond, Aurthur’s neighbor, as the actress is still in negotiations to reprise her role in the sequel.

Joker: Expected plot of Folie à Deux
So far, Warner Bros. has managed to keep the plot of the film under wraps and hasn’t released any details about it. But the title of the sequel, Joker: Madness for twogave a hint of what the movie might follow.
Folie à Deux is a medical term used to describe a shared mental state between two or more individuals, primarily a family member. However, in 2019 Jokerthe only member of the family Joker had been his mother, who was ill is killed by her son.
Since he has no family members, his mental state can now be shared by Harley Quinn and her new inmates at the asylum. Lady Gaga and Jacob Lofland may be two people affected by Arthur and sharing the same disorder as him.
The production for Joker: Madness for two will debut in November in Los Angeles and New York. The film will be released on October 4, 2024.
