Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has been in three different alliances in her life in the MCU so far. The journey of Maximoff, one of the MCU’s most beloved characters, began as an ally of the AI villain Ultron, then a full-time member of the Avengers, and finally coming to his villainous form as Scarlet Witch in the latest Doctor Strange movie.
Olsen’s portrayal of the Sokovian native is right up there in addition to the female superheroes Marvel fans would lay down their lives for, and a major new character announcement has fans very happy for the actress. Here is the sequel for Wanda Maximoff.

It’s fair to assume that this could mark a return for Olsen as a character in an MCU solo project, and those speculations could be fully realized later on.
This mostly comes down to the simple fact that Marvel Comics rarely does solo comic book projects if they don’t want to use them in the MCU itself. So maybe we’ll soon see Olsen return as the Avenger in the MCU!

In Marvel’s official announcement on their website that reveals the first look at Scarlet Witch, the writer had a few words for the upcoming comic series-
“Ever since I first entered the House of Ideas, the Scarlet Witch has been with me – in fact, she was the star of my very first Marvel work, kicking ass, weaving spells and humiliating Doom in Darkhold! So there was no way I could pass up the chance to work on Scarlet Witch”
“Wanda Maximoff has finally freed herself from the shadows she’s struggled with for years. What now? Sara Pichelli, Russell Dauterman, and I unveil the next chapter in her powerful, unlikely, and magical life. When you have nowhere to go… you turn to the scarlet witch. And God help anyone who gets in her way.
It’s a really exciting statement for the upcoming series, and we couldn’t be less excited about its release. Hopefully that also means we’ll see a new solo MCU movie for the character sooner rather than later.
