Daredevil teased in episode 5 of She-Hulk
Fans have been desperately waiting to see Daredevil’s cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Episode 5 has another teaser of Daredevil’s appearance which involves his new and improved costume.
A designer specializing in superhero stuff
In She-Hulk, we finally see the show address Jen’s obvious wardrobe problem. She needs clothes that will fit both Jen and She-Hulk. Nikki and Pug finally find a very low-key designer with a damn famous client list. They find this designer very exclusive thanks to the recommendation of Pug’s contacts. They even spend money on Avongers and rip off Captain America’s shields and Mjolnirs. Finally, they reach the man himself. They lie about She-Hulk being part of the Avengers to get him on a date. Jen then meets him and asks him to design a simple costume. The only catch is that he has to stretch and fit his She-Hulk body and also shrink to fit his Jen form well. Luke asks one of his assistants to restock the Stretch Yarn and get plenty of it.
A Daredevil teaser in She-Hulk
Costumes and costumes are now complete. She-Hulk returns to Luke and receives a costume she ordered with something special he prepared for her. It could refer to She-Hulk’s iconic superhero costume in the color royal purple, or it could be one of the awesome dresses we’ve seen in She-Hulk trailers and teasers. . As Jen is in the locker room trying it all on, we see a package containing Daredevil’s new helmet which was made by none other than Luke himself and comes in a new color. He tells his assistant Tinsley to pack it up and not just keep it scattered out in the open because client confidentiality is one thing.
Daredevil has a new suit
In previous She-Hulk trailers and teasers, we already got a glimpse of this upcoming costume change by seeing a yellow version of Daredevil’s costume. It’s obviously quite different from her red ensemble in Netflix’s Daredevil. This change was made by Marvel and was thoroughly explained to Jessica Gao in detail. Here’s what she had to say: “The only thing I had no control over was the costume. They knew exactly what they wanted the suit to look like.
For those who haven’t watched Daredevil on Netflix, here’s why the costume change happened. In season 3, Matt Murdock had to give up his usual red outfit because Bullseye tarnished his reputation by wearing the same suit. Although he made an emergency suit out of makeshift ninja threads, it wasn’t permanent at all. So of course he needs a new look. This look is also inspired by his early comic appearances where he wore a yellow suit. It also acts as an ode to his father who wore a red and yellow boxing robe. Matt Murdock’s Daredevil character and his crusade against crime was very much inspired by his father. Unfortunately, his father was murdered when Matt was still a child.
What Charlie Cox had to say about his She-Hulk appearance
He spoke to variety magazine about his appearance in She-Hulk. They also talked about how Daredevil would fit into the lighthearted nature of the series. Here’s what he had to say.
“In order for it to be appropriate for me to be on this show, I had to adapt my Matt Murdock a bit to be in a place in his life where he’s having fun,” Cox added. “Where life is good and it’s a bit cheeky and a bit flirty and it’s slightly different in tone. It was a bit of an experiment, but it was really enjoyable, and I really spent a great time, and the chemistry I had with Tatiana was amazing.” There’s a lot of Daredevil comics where there’s levity, there’s levity, there’s fun, and I think that with 18 episodes, you have time to do a bit of both.”
