With the recent announcement of Keanu Reeves returning as John Constantine by Warner Bros. Discovery, fans at first glance seemed thrilled with the news. However, that quickly faded, as fans across social media only want to see Henry Cavill’s Superman back on the big screen.
Seeing that David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, snuck in a cameo of the scarlet-cloaked hero in their next film black adam, fans were more excited than ever to see Henry Cavill get back into his suit and take to the skies of Metropolis.
Keanu Reeves returns for Constantine sequel
WBD has previously given light to advance the idea of making a Constantine sequel with Keanu Reeves reprising the role and Francis Lawrence returning to direct the film. With no release date yet, the film is now working away from a reboot and into a proper sequel.
The film will be written by Akiva Goldsman and produced by JJ Abrams and Hannah Minghella. The news came recently after Keanu Reeves returned to rising fame.

Henry Cavill’s Uncertain Future in WBD and DCEU
What was originally planned to be a franchise starting with Steel man, never saw the light of day as Henry Cavill’s Superman transitioned from one potential series to another, from Steel man then seeing each other in both Justice League and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Recent developments have shown the actor reprising the role of Dwayne Johnson Black Adam. The actor is set to become the film’s Kryptonian after talks that he wouldn’t return to the role.
It was stated that Cavill wanted a higher salary for the role and what the whole role represented. Rumor has it that he’s also looking to be part of the MCU, but that hasn’t been pushed yet. The same set of rumors were also circulating for Reeves and he is now looking to be John Constantine again with WBD.

Constantine’s return elicits mixed response
Fans on all social media, especially Twitter, are now asking for the ever-awaited Steel man sequel with Henry Cavill and the direction of Zack Snyder with it. Seeing how unexpected Keanu Reeves’ return was, fans are now holding out hope that Zaslav will lend a hand for a potential fan-favorite movie.
Audiences want to see Cavill’s Superman more than anything; However, with the look of Michael B Jordan’s own Superman movie pending, it seems very difficult for them to see the potential return of Henry Cavill as well.
Even with so many new announcements made by DC regarding all the upcoming movies and cameos fans still seem to only want the sequel to Cavill’s Superman movie and can’t be fully satisfied otherwise.
