Since David Zaslav took the reins of the new Warner Bros. Discovery, there has been chaos all over the DC Universe. Rumors of an inspired Keanu Reeves Constantine the series was in the works for a reboot, however, the sequel to the original film Constantine was recently announced.
Following the announcement, HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC have canceled the series of reboots of Constantine which left fans confused as to which side to choose.

Constantine 2 To be released by canceling Constantine Series
It was earlier reported that a rebooted series based on the John Constantine character was in the works. The series was to be a reboot of the 2014 American series Constantine which starred Matt Ryan as the lead actor. Things seemed to be going very well as the series was soon to be released on HBO Max with the expansion of the DC Universe since John Constantine is part of DC.

However, after many rumors of an expected sequel to the original classic film Constantine (2005), Variety said the franchise would indeed get a sequel in which Keanu Reeves will appear again as John Constantine. sources at Variety further stated that the reboot series of Constantine which was in the works is also canceled for reasons yet to be revealed.
This is the second time a DC project has been canceled by HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery with a cancellation Mrs X series in the queue.
Fans took to Twitter as chaos only increased for the DC Universe with the recent controversies of Ezra Miller, a canceled bat girl project, and now the rebooted series canceled.

Just sell DC at this point, all of these decisions are terrible. Cancel Batgirl, keep Flash, sell the Batman TV series, and now Constantine. It’s pretty clear that Warner Bros doesn’t want to make DC content, so why keep the brand.

The general feeling in the audience is confusion as DC and Warner Bros. Discovery seem to have no idea which direction they should be heading. As much as fans are excited about Keanu Reeves’ upcoming sequel to Constantine, many people feel angry about the cancellation of the series.

Although the series is canceled, the production behind the series bad bot and Warner Bros. still have a glimmer of hope for that. Sources said that both studios are hopeful that the series will soon find a new home, i.e. a streaming service, and be officially released as part of the DCEU.
We currently have no confirmed details regarding the upcoming sequel. Constantine. The only confirmed news is that Keanu Reeves will return (as he should) with the film’s original director Francis Lawrence (of The hunger Games fame) finding the John Wick star.
