Nada Bashir of CNN International is an Emmy-nominated journalist. Since joining CNN in 2018, Nada has delivered influential, cross-platform reporting from around the world, with a focus on Europe and the Middle East.
In addition to being fluent in Arabic, she has training and experience working in various hotspots and war zones around the world. Because she worked in demanding environments, for outstanding ongoing news story coverage in 2021, she was one of the nominees for an Emmy.
With a BA in Politics and East European Studies from University College London, Nada completed his studies before starting his career at CNN. His field of study was Middle Eastern foreign policy, namely Soviet and Russian foreign policy. Later, she obtained a master’s degree in global politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

“Yemen Hunger Crisis: Made in America,” a CNN documentary by Bashir, was released in 2021. She served as an associate producer on the film, which earned her an Emmy nomination the following year.
