Thor: Love and Thunder showed us a more humorous take on the god of thunder and although Gorr is said to be the butcher god, it looks like Taika Waititi took that title for himself. The film created a fit among fans for its portrayal of the character and the lore surrounding him; both in Norse mythology and in Marvel.

God of War Ragnarök on the other hand poses to always live up to the lore and doesn’t hesitate to show off his characters in their true glory. A lore filled with gods and creatures of mystical significance must be elaborately crafted and the game has taken care of that.
Fans Thrash Thor: Love and Thunder After The God Of War Ragnarök Trailer
PlayStation recently released the official trailer for its upcoming game God of War Ragnarök and their consistency with the mythology has made fans even more in love. Scheduled to release on November 9, 2022, the game is online to encounter the foes of Norse mythology, battling monsters and creatures that have been woven into the pages of lore.

Following God of the war, the story revolves around Kratos, the god of war, as he continues his journey to explore the nine realms. Its connection to current mythology and the decision not to stray from it certainly made the game more enjoyable and informative to play.

Taika Waititi is constantly changing the tradition
One of the biggest problems with the whole Thor story has been its butchered lore. From an awful depiction of Hela to making Fenris the wolf just a pet of Hela rather than Loki’s son. This includes Taika Waititi straying completely from the real story to focus solely on Chris Hemsworth’s Thor being the eye candy of the entire franchise.

Fans say the movie was made unnecessarily funny to get some forced laughs, and the expected fight seen between the Butcher God and the Thunder God seemed to be incomplete, if not widespread at all. The goats were rather irritating and the depiction of Zeus was mostly for comedic purposes.

God Of War Ragnarök Wins Massive Victory With Mythology
God of War Ragnarök doesn’t shy away from showing how grand Thor is, unlike his portrayal in Thor: Love and Thunder where Taika Waititi only focused on making Thor’s body stamp; in Korg’s words; “From daddy to madbod.”
The movie did well box office-wise, however, the whole comedic approach completely destroyed the idea that Thor was the god of thunder rather than the god of bad jokes. What was an attempt to continue balanced humor in Thor: Ragnarok got it wrong and overstated to the point that fans completely chose to dislike the movie.

God of War Ragnarök The approach to Thor’s wrath and glory as he wields his hammer remains throughout which inspires players everywhere to explore the game and the lore that offers so much more.
Thor: Love and Thunder is now streaming on Disney+ for everyone to enjoy.
