Marvel Studios’ daredevil show, can do what Netflix never did: incorporate a diverse cast of Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. Charlie Cox reprized his role as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Coming Home end of 2021 and will also make an appearance in She-Hulk: Lawyer.
The appearance signified to the public that Netflix’s former live-action Daredevil star daredevil The series has had a new lease on life in the MCU. This came years after the show’s three seasons wrapped, sparking anticipation that Marvel Studios might be reviving the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

Hollywood insider DanielRPK has confirmed that Cox of Alaqua will return as Maya López in Daredevil: Born Again. Hawkeye introduced audiences to Maya Lopez, a deaf Native American assassin, but that was just the beginning of her story. There are reports that Matt Murdock will return to the Echo spin-off series, which Marvel is already working on.

Maya Lopez is making a comeback in the daredevil series as another MCU character would make sense. The two characters are intimately related in the comics, so they might already have a relationship at this point in the shared universe. Their romantic relationship is unlikely, but its formation may continue after Daredevil’s appearance in Echo.

What to expect from Daredevil: Born Again?
One of the most significant benefits of Marvel Studios’ involvement in the new daredevil series is the increased likelihood of prominent MCU characters appearing. Because Marvel TV and Netflix previously had a strained relationship with Marvel Studios, Daredevil interactions were limited to characters from other Marvel/Netflix productions. In the upcoming Daredevil reboot, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will be able to interact with a variety of MCU characters.

Echo’s Maya Lopez and Matt Murdock aren’t just star-crossed lovers in the comics; Daredevil eventually suggests Echo to Captain America for a New Avengers mission. Echo even takes on the Ronin persona while helping Captain America. Besides the fact that Daredevil will undoubtedly play a big role in Echo, it could also tie Echo to Captain America: New World Order and the rest of the MCU’s Phase 5.
Daredevil: Born Again will debut on Disney+ in the spring of 2024.
