Along with the Justice League, Avengers, and Fantastic Four, X-men are among the most popular superhero groups. It is based on the idea that humans mutate into superhumans. There have been plenty of X-men movies, but not all of them have managed to hit the mark.

During its production under 20th Century Fox, we saw at least 10 movies about mutants. out of the pack, X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past were received very favorably, but ended in a groan with Dark Phoenix.
Mutants in the MCU, finally!
Since Marvel doesn’t have many mutant properties, we’ve never seen any in the MCU. But in 2017, Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, finally allowing Kevin Feige to start shaping the X-men franchise according to his own vision.
On the other hand, Disney hasn’t announced any major mutant-based movies despite owning the properties. Mutants only had one appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and a minor reference in Ms. Marvel.

The only mutant production announced under Marvel is X men ’97a continuation of the hugely successful series of X-men: the animated series.
What about the X-Men movies?
After Sabra, an Israeli mutant was finally announced to appear in Captain America: New World Order, many believe that Marvel is finally gearing up to bring mutants in full force. Rumor has it that the studio is already looking into particular comics to adapt from.
As reported by ScreenGeek, Marvel Studios Reportedly Adapting Joss Whedon’s Amazing X-Men comic for the next X-men movie. Starting in 2004, his comic book series included Cyclops, Emma Frost, Beast, Wolverine, Colossus and many more.

Considered a commercial success, the comic book series is a continuation of Grant Morrison New X-Men seriess. There were four major story arcs, including an alien planet trying to destroy Earth with a giant bullet and Sentinels sent to kill mutants by an AI called Danger.
