Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, announced Armor Wars for the first time during Disney Investor Day 2020. During its presentation at Expo D23 2022, the studio confirmed the show. Marvel has revealed a new Armor Wars logo, mentioning, “What happens if Tony Stark’s technology falls into the wrong hands? Don Cheadle also joined the Expo D23 presentation. In the new Disney series, he will reprise his role as Colonel James Rhodes, aka War Machine.
Fans have been anticipating the War Machine’s return ever since it was announced. Information about the show was recently updated on Marvel’s website. Not only that, but Feige also revealed how the project’s story would precisely follow the events of the Secret Invasion.

Armor Wars gets Kenobi writers
According to the Writers Guild of America, the next Disney+ series from Marvel Studios Armor Wars hired four new writers.

Rayna McClendon (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Willow, The Walking Dead: World Beyond), Lekethia Dalcoe (Wool, horror stories in two sentences), Garrick Bernard (solar opposites) and Emma Fletcher (Trinkets, parks and recreation) are the four lucky passengers on the Iron Man spin-off train. They will all work on the project with editor-in-chief Yassir Lester.

McClendon worked as a writer and consulting producer on the hugely popular Star Wars show, Obi Wan Kenobiso all four have solid prior experience.

Not only is it encouraging to see the development of Armor Wars is progressing, but each of these new writers has an excellent track record. McClendon’s experience with Obi Wan is the most remarkable. While some fans were unhappy with the series, there were many who loved it. fans of Obi Wan Kenobi will be thrilled to hear about McClendon’s involvement in the upcoming MCU show.

I think that says a lot, because in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi Master feels a strong sense of guilt for what happened to Anakin. Rhodey will likely feel guilty for Tony’s death, which he will face in his series.

Don CheadleThe Armor War may become a reality after all, now that the show has a head writer and at least four other staff, writers. When can fans expect this to become a reality? It’s generally safe to believe it won’t be until 2024.

Given how slow things are in the business, landing in early 2025 is probably the safest option for Armor Wars– especially considering all the VFX work that will supposedly be required.
