Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke finally appear in House Of The Dragon
HBO recently released new photos from Episode 6 showing the aged cast after the 10-year time jump. Fans have expressed awe over the impending timeline change, ultimately recasting Milly Alcock and Emily Carey and bringing Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke to the show.
Alcock and Carey were able to charter their characters’ positions on the show until mid-season, establishing the conflict that will drive the plot of Dragon House. In the Episode 6 trailer, fans saw their older counterparts as well as some new faces.
Besides Rhaenyra and Alicent, fans also saw King Viserys and Queen Alicent’s eldest son, Aegon II (played by Ty Tennant, son of David Tennant), who has already garnered public dislike. Another character that caught fans’ attention is Helaena Targaryen who will be played by Evie Allen. Ser Laenor Velaryon will now be played by John Macmillan, while Laena Velaryon will now be played by Nanna Blondell.

Episode 6 trailer shows Rhaenyra postpartum
HBO also released a music video of Rhaenyra after giving birth to her son. She was seen immediately walking through the halls of Red Keep, having just lifted a baby from her womb, as requested by Queen Alicent.
The baby is just one of many children Rhaenyra and Laenor will have, as mentioned in Martin’s novel. However, there has been much speculation regarding the true parentage of these children, given that Ser Laenor is gay. Prince Daemon (played by Matt Smith), meanwhile, is married to Laena and now has two daughters, Rhaena and Baela.
Matt Smith has already confirmed that there will be no more time jumps given the public reaction to Alcock and Carey’s redesign. Many fans have already gotten used to and loved the duo’s dynamic, and it’s sad to see them go after such incredible performances. Dragon HouseEpisode 6 will air this Sunday on HBO Max.
