A New Marvel Studios Photo Coming Soon Black Panther: Wakanda Forever features Queen Ramonda and Shuri.
Less than two months away from the release of Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the marketing for the next movie is just starting to kick into high gear. Empire Magazine has just released its official cover for its upcoming film-centric issue, featuring the surviving members of King T’Challa’s family: Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) and Shuri (Letitia Wright). They also stand alongside the film’s supposed antagonist, Namor the Submarine (Tenoch Huerta).
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever seeks to introduce both Queen Ramonda and Shuri in a meaningful way, given that with King T’Challa’s departure, the emotional core of the film will likely center around their ties to their late king, which strikes particularly close to home given the real-life death of actor Chadwick Boseman. Now we have a new photo with the two characters from Empire Magazine:

“In Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from world powers intervening in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and chart a new course for the kingdom of Wakanda.
Directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole, the film stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman and Angela Bassett.
