The world is slowly moving towards social equality for everyone in almost every walk of life today, so why not do the same when writing new characters in popular entertainment? Superman’s son, Jon Kent, is one of the new DC Comics characters who has been revealed to be part of the LGBTQ community.
Also the son of Lois Lane, the character first appeared in Convergence: Superman #2 released in 2015. The LGBT community has been very welcoming to one of DC’s most prominent LGBT characters, but their applause has also been met with overwhelming backlash from a large portion of DC’s fans. DC Comics.

Fans Say Jon Kent Isn’t As Manly As His Dad’s Version Of Superman
Jonathan Samuel Kent, the eldest son of the world’s most famous superhero, Superman, came out of the closet in the November 9 issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El #5 in 2021, when he eventually strikes up a romantic relationship with journalist Jay Nakamura.
The two share a passionate kiss in a panel of the issue that got some quick reactions from the comics community and the internet at large.

Why is this a big thing? Well, first of all, giving the character with “Man of Steel” stuck to his name by inheritance makes Jon Kent one of DC Comics’ most prominent LGBT characters.
But fans don’t like that the new Superman likes boys at all. Fans aren’t approving of Kent’s appearance either, as Twitter goes ham and spit-roasts him-

I don’t care about her hair. It’s the rest of the character that pisses me off. The fact that they got rid of one of the most iconic superheroes just so his son would have a chance to shine in all the LGBTQXYZ glory is what sickens me. Politics everywhere now.

Meanwhile, live-action Jon Kent will be portrayed by a new actor
While the changes to the man wearing the Man of Steel character aren’t very well received by DC Comics fans, live-action Jon Kent is being replaced.
Jordan Elsass’ time as Jonathan Kent, as reported by Deadline, is over. CW has already hired a replacement for Elsass and it will be Michael Bishop.
Michael Bishop, who recently made his American film debut with twirl will play Kent for the third season of Superman and Lois. Elsass starred as Clark Kent’s son for two seasons and was set to make a comeback in reprisal for his role, but he had to leave for “personal reasons” as reported by Warner Bros. Television.

Elsass later came out in a video message to his fanbase, in which he explained that his decision to leave came about as he shifted his focus to his mental health. Hope he recovers soon!
