Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and its 161-minute plot
For over a decade now, the Marvel superhero franchise has given us twice as many stories to cherish and treasure. In all of its world-building, we have witnessed gods and monsters, space and death. But now it all comes down to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – a double tragedy occurring simultaneously in the real world as well as in the reel. This not only makes the film harder to navigate without transgressing or disrespecting boundaries, but also gives it a whole story to tell.

Chadwick Boseman’s passing is still a sensitive topic, and it’s not just because he was a good actor. Boseman became a legend in his own right when he became the first black superhero by bringing Black Panther to life. The solo movie didn’t feel like a cultural statement imposed by Marvel, because it wasn’t. Black PantherThe story of was sublime and transcendent in every way, and it represented everything a film should – action, conflict, tragedy, grandeur, the burdens of family obligation, love tried, loyalties tried, the finality of death, a fleeting nuance of a world beyond our comprehension. But above all, Black Panther was Chadwick Boseman’s resounding last hurray and his quiet determination held it all together.
It is therefore not surprising that the echoes of this film and its hero at some point became a mixture of fiction and reality. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever serves to sort through this knotted chaos and give us a story that rejoices the life lost too soon while bringing the story to respectful resolution.

What is Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Do you intend to offer?
The film’s 161-minute runtime makes sense. On the one hand, it’s about honoring and celebrating the life of the late actor Chadwick Boseman. But the movie also has to explore its in-universe successor which, as far as speculation goes, has to be among Shuri, Nakia, or Okoye. The movie is also looking to wrap up Phase 4 with a big see-off. The introduction of one of Marvel comics’ original and most powerful anti-heroes, Namor the Submarine, will also enter the fray.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will go through the political struggles created by the power vacuum at the top. The technologically advanced and hidden African country that opened up to the world will also have to re-arm itself when Namor rises from Atlantis and declares war on the surface dwellers for all their perceived misdeeds. The film must also end with a treaty between Namor and Wakanda if the anti-hero is to be part of the much larger Multiversal War to come. Considering the multi-layered story that Ryan Coogler had to go through, 2 hours and 41 minutes doesn’t seem that long to attest to the elegance of the Black Panther after.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres on November 11, 2022.
