Marvel Studios’ night werewolf currently has a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes as reviews for the Halloween special start rolling out.
This Halloween season, Marvel Studios is doing something new on Disney Plus with a special presentation focusing on Werewolf by Night. The special was finally confirmed by Marvel Studios just a few weeks ago on D23 alongside a trailer.
night werewolf looks like anything we’ve seen in the MCU to date, and early reactions applauded Marvel Studios for taking the risk with director Michael Giacchino. Now the full reviews are starting to come in online, which means the special is also getting a rotten tomatoes score.
Another success for Marvel Studios
With the top seven reviews added to rotten tomatoes, night werewolf debuted with a score of 100%. There are still plenty more reviews to come, but the general consensus seems to be pretty positive for Marvel’s first Halloween special.
Here’s the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Halloween special:
“On a dark, dark night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerges from the shadows and gathers at the sinister Temple of Bloodstone after the death of their leader,” the synopsis reads. “In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, participants are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic – a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster.”
night werewolf stars Gael García Bernal, Laura Donnelly, Harriet Sansom Harris, Al Hamacher, Eugenie Bondurant, Kirk Thatcheras Jovan, Jaycob Maya and Daniel Watts. Michael Giacchino directed the special from a script written by Peter Cameron and Heather Quinn. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige serves as the executive producer.
