The notorious legal battle between Hollywood superstars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has been one of the hottest topics discussed on the internet this year. The lawsuit was followed by popular support for Heard for abusing Depp, but Heard herself has her army of fans to defend her and speak out against Depp’s abuse as well.
The lawsuit ended well over three months ago, and the verdict was mostly in Depp’s favor as he was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages from Heard, as decided on June 1, 2022. Reactions from the internet and the media were vociferous, and it looks like the whole ordeal is being carried on as a new movie based on the trial comes out.

I don’t understand. We all watched the trial. Why would anyone want to watch this? The trial was triggering for victims everywhere and re-traumatizing for Amber. Why would anyone find that amusing?
