iron fist star Finn Jones hopes to see co-star Jessica Henwick be a potential addition to the Shang Chi after. Both Jones and Henwick starred in the aforementioned Netflix show, known and credited for its notorious critical reception. Over the past few months, Marvel Studios has constantly surprised fans with different efforts to get excited. The daredevil The MCU reboot is one example that has thrilled fans beyond belief.

daredevil was a show that was part of the plethora of Netflix series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the Charlie Cox-led premise getting his MCU reboot slated to hit Disney+, fans wondered whether or not other characters from the Netflix-Marvel pantheon would see a return to the acclaimed franchise.
Finn Jones himself has said he’d like to return to the MCU to reprise his role as Danny Rand/Iron Fist and explore areas for growth more. However, he also thinks co-star Jessica Henwick’s portrayal of Colleen Wing should be brought back into Shang Chi 2. He wants to see a sequel to Colleen’s character arc which was quickly cut short.
Iron Fist’s Colleen Wing in Shang-Chi 2?
In an interview with Comicbook.com, Finn Jones revealed how intriguing it would be to see co-star Jessica Henwick reprise her role as Netflix’s DefendersVerse and establish herself in the MCU canon, much like Charlie Cox and Vincent D’ Onofrio. Furthermore, he pointed out that a return to Shang Chi 2 would allow the actress to properly continue the arc of the character which fans were unable to witness due to iron fistCancellation in 2018.

“It would be nice to see Colleen come back and still have that Iron Fist too. I think it would be cool if she showed up at Shang-Chi and still had the Iron Fist. There are so many possibilities you can do with this from where we left off for season two.
Jessica Henwick, too, testified to her love for Colleen. Previously the iron fist the actress was offered the role of the titular hero’s sister, Xu Xialing in Shang Chi. However, The Matrix Resurrections alum turned it down because she didn’t want to give up on her DefendersVerse character so quickly.

Picking up the Shang Chi role would mean “put Colleen to bed.” Jessica Henwick also claimed that given the chance, she would love to revisit her character.
Will Iron Fist get a potential MCU reboot?
Daredevil: Born Again ignited the hopes and aspirations of DefendersVerse fans. As more characters from the Netflix-Marvel assortment make their appearances in the MCU, fans are longing to see Danny Rand return to the franchise. If that ever happened, it would be best if Marvel Studios didn’t repeat the mistakes that plagued the 2017 show.
Danny Rand’s return doesn’t seem all too slim. In the comics, Iron Fist has been involved with several groups, such as Thunderbolts and Heroes For Hire. While actor Finn Jones recently attested to how much he would love to see Iron Fist reboot in the MCU in a Heroes for Hire-esque storyline that would star Danny Rand and Luke Cage, the fact that Love at first sight is also being opened up new possibilities for the character of Finn Jones.
While the character obviously won’t feature in the official anti-hero/villain motley ensemble, the film could sow the seeds for his future arrival. Who knows? With the moves Marvel makes with each passing day, it’s entirely possible that the whole DefendersVerse will see its MCU reboot sooner or later.

Nevertheless, we can only hope that Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick will reconnect with their characters very soon. At the moment, nothing is fully confirmed. If Henwick would score a comeback through Shang Chi 2 is an obscure guess to make as the plot details surrounding the premise remain under the veil of mystery.
