As it’s finally October, it seems appropriate to take some time and really look at various topics within the horror genre. Over the next thirty-one days, we will have several horror-themed discussions, everyday horrors like Friday 13 to more science fiction and less everyday horrors like Extraterrestrial and THIS.
For our first foray into the 31 Days of Horror series, we thought we were going to grow. So here are five of the horror crossovers we’d love to see, even if they’ll never happen for various reasons.
Ash and Freddy
Evil, cracking, shotgun-wielding death, killing Ash from Evil Dead, and Freddy, sinister, invader of dreams, from Nightmare on Elm Street franchise would provide a steady amount of humor and witty dialogue with each other. Ash isn’t afraid to use unorthodox methods to give himself an advantage, so it’s easy to see him taking copious amounts of drugs to stay alert to the threat Freddy poses, while also having the mental toughness to conjure up some sort of dream weapon. if he sleeps. Either way, it would be a fun ride to watch the two go at it, not a boring horror crossover.
Ghostface and Chucky
Ghostface has always been a relatively slapstick murderer compared to others in horror movies, with the Scream the franchise itself being a parody of other by-the-numbers slasher movies, and Chucky’s cheerful demeanor as he murders his victims would again, as above, allow for some really funny moments between the two, if their paths were to meet. Whether they actually fight against each other or more likely team up is another matter.

Alien and Jason
The thought of Jason’s constant hunt as he fights his way through a camp of generic humans, only to find a few that aren’t like the others before they spawn a few Xenomorphs to to really test your mettle is by far my favorite of the ones listed here. Add one thinking they sent Jason out before he did his seated Undertaker style, and Jason uses his machete to smash his way through mobs of Xenomorphs and we’d all have a blast. It should be an easy win, but then again, it should have been. Alien versus Predator…
The thing and the predator
An idea out of left field when it comes to horror crossovers, Predator having to hunt and kill The Thing would make for a gripping movie, especially since most of the time it would assume it was just fighting and killing another human before realizing its last the prey is a bit tougher. The Thing could transform into any life form it chose, making it difficult for the Predator to keep up with and would end up being the one hunted.

Patrick Bateman and Hannibal Lecter
Two mean, clinically insane men cross paths, one who is arrogant, rude and thinks he’s above everyone else, the other a cannibal who hates and eats rude people when he can. If you follow the train of thought as much as Bateman imagined the crimes he committed, then it wouldn’t necessarily be a very long movie, but at least it would be nice to see him get his reward after hurting so much treated everyone. in his own universe.
These are five horror crossovers we’d love to see, but there are countless other possibilities. What else would you like to see? No matter how fantastic or ridiculous it is, we want to know!
