‘John Wick’ Star Keanu Reeves Wants To Play The MCU’s Ghost Rider

John Wick Star Keanu Reeves has expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Wednesday night, Keanu Reeves dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new graphic novel series BRZRKR. While there, Reeves was asked which Marvel character he would love to play if given the chance. The John Wick star revealed that he has his eyes set on Ghost Rider.

“Ten-year-old Reeves would — I think he probably would want to be Ghost Rider,” Reeves admitted.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige has made no secret that he met Keanu Reeves about several roles in the Avengers world. The two have yet to find the right one, but that hasn’t stopped Reeves from praising the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“I think the way Marvel movies have developed and what they are is really spectacular and it would be great to be a part of that,” Reeves added.

However, Keanu Reeves isn’t the only Hollywood A-lister who wants to play Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Earlier this year, Ryan Gosling made it clear he was also interested in the role. A few weeks after his remarks, Kevin Feige seemed eager to find a place for the actor within the MCU.

The Johnny Blaze version of Ghost Rider was featured in two films starring Nicolas Cage, but both met with poor reviews from critics and audiences. Meanwhile, Ghost Rider also made an appearance on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC, with Gabriel Luna playing Robbie Reyes’ incarnation of the iconic comic book character.
