Charlie Cox is known for his outstanding acting as the devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The character is canonically blind. Charlie Cox bought a pair of contact lenses to help him literally get a blind eye to his cast. It didn’t help those around him so much that it became problematic for the rest of the crew as they had to guide the actor around the set to help him. He kept the lenses for the first episode of the series but later chose to get rid of them due to the nuisance they caused.
He then decided to learn and observe a man who had been legally blind for over 20 years. He adapted to his surroundings and his cast mates, making sure he didn’t stare at them properly while he did his scenes. Although he could still see, he copied the man’s way. Due to Daredevil’s powers, the actor needed to be able to see because although the character is legally blind, he can still sense his surroundings, so much so that he doesn’t necessarily need a cane or help with day-to-day functioning. life.
