The following year, he underwent surgery on his left arm, the same he had undergone on his right arm a few years earlier. Nevertheless, he recovered very quickly and in the same year he won the World Arm-wrestling League (WAL) as a left-handed wrestler.
In 2016, he defended his WAL Left-Arm title and was also crowned the winner of the WAL Right Arm Heavyweight Championship, becoming the first arm wrestler to achieve such a feat. He continued to dominate the league, both as a left-handed and right-handed wrestler, defending his titles in 2017.
