There are several Phase 5 projects planned that could begin to lay the groundwork for Nova’s debut, according to reports Nova’s big screen debut is in development at Marvel Studios. Although Nova is a figure that more closely identifies with the cosmic side of Marvel. Given this, it’s possible that Nova will be set up in multiple Phase 5 projects, whether they take place on Earth or in the wider cosmic world of the MCU.
Richard Rider and Samuel Alexander are the two main incarnations of the Marvel Nova comic book superhero. Rider is from New York who was randomly chosen by Rhomann Dey to receive Nova Prime powers from the Nova Corps, whose headquarters are on the planet Xandar. Later, Rider reluctantly adopted the identity of Nova, becoming the Cosmic Hero. Samuel, with help from Rocket Raccoon and Gamora, was able to locate his father’s Nova helmet and learn its superhuman abilities. Samuel received training from the two heroes on how to use the helmet and the Nova abilities that come with it, which led to his transformation into a Nova.
The Young Avengers

Marvel Studios has set the stage to launch the Young Avengers in Phase 5 of the MCU. Marvel could use the Young Avengers setup to introduce another possible team member when it comes to Samuel Alexander, the younger version of Nova. Despite the fact that Nova was never a member of the Young Avengers in the comics, he once teamed up with other Young Avengers like Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales’ Spider-Man. Given that Marvel Studios has shown a willingness to alter key aspects of the comics, it’s not impossible that Nova will join the Young Avengers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

For a number of reasons, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is perhaps the phase 5 project with the greatest possibility of launching Nova. Xandar was featured as an important role in the first movie of the Guardians trilogy. In the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Xandar and the Nova Corps were featured prominently, establishing the Nova Corps as a military force. To obtain the Power Stone, Thanos attacked Xandar before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Richard Rider might want to step in to protect his people after what Thanos did.
