Dominique Thorne’s Riri Williams Tests Out Her Ironheart Armor In New Promo Video For Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Target and Marvel Studios have teamed up for the marketing campaign of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which arrives in theaters in November. This morning, Target released a promotional video for Marvel Studios’ upcoming feature film, spotlighting Riri Williams, an MIT student who is creating her own version of Iron Man’s armor. In the pages of the Marvel comics, Riri goes by “Ironheart”. You can see it in action in the video below.

Dominique Thorne plays Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, setting up the future of the Iron Heart Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actress is best known for her roles in dramatic films like If Beale Street Could Talk and Judas and the Black Messiah.

Following his appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverDominique Thorne is set to reprise her role as Riri Williams for a six-episode Stone heart series on Disney Plus. The series, developed by snowdrops writer Chinaka Hodge, is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

“In Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from world powers intervening in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and chart a new course for the kingdom of Wakanda.

Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole, wakanda forever stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman and Angela Bassett.
