The story unfolds from the perspective of Travis Kalanick, the CEO of Uber, and dramatizes the start of the world’s most successful ride-sharing business from his perspective. The series also chronicles Travis’ collapse as he is laid off from his own company, as well as tracing Uber’s origins and how it came to be. Audiences get a taste of startup culture and tech culture in “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber,” just like in “The Playlist.”

Hulu’s “The Dropout” is another biographical drama series created by Elizabeth Meriwether. It is based on the podcast of the same name produced by ABC News and presented by Rebecca Jarvis.
