Leupolz got a taste of professional football at 16 when she started her career with TSV Tettnang and Ratzenried in 2010. In the same year, she had the chance to join another famous German club, Freiburg. This season, the club was promoted in the Bundesliga; so this season the German football star had the chance to play in the country the most important national football league.
Her debut in the Bundesliga was very successful for the star player as she started receiving offers from various clubs inside and outside Germany. For this reason, she joined Bayern Munich, one of the reputable clubs in Germany, in 2014. She made her debut for Bayern on August 31, 2014. Later, during her first two seasons at Bayern, in 2014-15 and 2015-16 she won two Bundesliga trophies. She extended her contract from 2018 to 2020.
She won the FA Community Shield on August 29, 2020, her first triumph with Chelsea. Chelsea acquired Leupolz on March 23, 2020. She revealed her pregnancy to Chelsea FC on March 7, 2022 and the club’s medical staff promised to be by her side. She also stated that she would no longer participate in the 2021-2022 season.
Despite her club career, she also had a remarkable career with the German national team. She participated in the 2010 U-17 World Cup as a member of the national under-17 team.
At the 2011 European U-17 Championship, she captained the team, although they were unable to bring the championship back after falling to France in the semi-finals. Leupolz made her senior debut in Germany on June 19, 2013 and the next day she had been named Germany squad for UEFA Women’s Euro 2013.
