Henry Cavill is back on top of the entertainment world after just seconds of new footage after finally returning to the DCU in the mid-credits scene of Black Adam. This should only be the start of a long run for the British actor, who returns to his role as Clark Kent and his super alter-ego after five years of absence.
In an interview with Deadline, the actor Henry Cavill reflected on his career while thanking his family and friends for their support. Iron man star began by looking at the inspirations he discovered while honing his craft, noting how difficult it was “emotionally… psychologically…[and] physically,” especially at the beginning of his career where he had to face several refusals.
Even when dealing with the unpleasant aspects of the industry, he emphasized how “Self-confidence is incredibly crucial” and how he managed to maintain that confidence throughout his career. When asked who gave him that confidence, Cavill said it was the approval of both his parents, his brothers and his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso. Cavill mentioned that,
“Sometimes when I saw my older brothers looking at me in a certain way and they were like ‘Hey, that was really impressive!’ and you see the older brother not just surprised but impressed with a performance, and you think ‘Okay, maybe I have this.’
