Eternals Star Kumail Nanjiani made his Marvel debut in the 2021 Phase 4 production which explored the mainstream universe beyond the peripheries of what is known to mankind. In an attempt to introduce the Celestials and Eternals into a narrative spanning thousands of years and with a unique arc delving into the lives and psyches of each of these beings, Marvel’s massive project does not ultimately didn’t get the recognition it deserved. The film’s failure to become a critical and commercial success then hits the characters’ central presence in the rest of the MCU.

The Eternals and their abrupt arrival and exit from the MCU
Arrived on Earth thousands of years ago to protect, preserve and help thrive intelligent life on the planet, the Eternals – a race of extraterrestrial beings from the planet Olympia – have remained hidden since their rise to watch from the dark. away as the habitation becomes prepared for the time of the Taimut uprising. The characters, each created by the Celestials in response to the rise of the Deviants, become enthralled with that civilization’s progress and culture and, while here, begin to fall in love with Earth and its way of life.

Despite the breadth of storytelling behind each of the 10 Eternals, the film fails to provide a worthy continuity that could bring the MCU and this celestial race of powerful beings closer together. The jerky dissection of the millennium of their time here and the absence of a worthy antagonist fails to provide much momentum or a cathartic confrontation to the story. And despite this fact, Eternals evolves into a beautiful and tragically closed tale whose contribution to the survival and continuation of this species remains a stand-alone fact that is known only to the few people involved.
Kumail Nanjiani Discusses His MCU Future As Kingo
Of the 10 Eternals who arrive and attempt to stay exclusively under the radar, one of the beings who gets caught up in the glory of it all is Kingo, i.e. Kumail Nanjiani’s character who chases the spotlight. . Kingo then poses as a Bollywood icon from a long-established ancestral dynasty of film actors, passing the torch of fame and glamor from father to son, in order to hide the facet of his immortality.

While talking about following Kumail Nanjiani, both in his on-screen career as a Bollywood star and off-screen in Marvel, the actor says:
“I am completely in the dark. I have no idea what is going on. Really no idea what’s going on. I really don’t know when or if Kingo will return to the MCU. I really have no idea. I’m really excited about the direction they’re taking. The new people they picked are really good.
I just saw the new Black Panther movie, and I’ve never seen a blockbuster like this, it’s so convoluted and tragic, in so many ways, but also really fun, funny and thrilling. So I think they’re really stretching and doing great things right now. I would love to come back and do things, but I really have no idea.

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has thrived over these years thanks to Kevin Feige’s incredibly superhuman visionary planning, it wasn’t done on its own. The Marvel leader’s vision succeeds because of the studio’s fluidity and free flow of ideas between directors, actors, and producers without one faction claiming absolute authority over the others. If Kumail Nanjiani or any of his Eternals co-stars manage to communicate their ideas for delving into their character’s story, it would be interesting to see how Feige and his team plan to expand the universe while giving Eternals a chance for box office redemption.
