Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to burst into theaters this week. And the talk of the town is its new villain, Namor. Fans have wanted to see Namor in the MCU for a long time and finally, the former Under King has arrived. But how old is he exactly? Actor Tenoch Huerta finally answers the question.
Tenoch Huerta confirms Namor’s age

Namor’s Throne
From the trailers, clips and interviews released so far, it’s clear that Namor has been the King Talokan for a long time. Rumors of him being pissed off at Wakanda for opening up to the world also suggest he existed during a time when colonialism was common.
He could therefore have lived through a time when his people and his kingdom could have been colonized or there could have been attempts to colonize them. As such, fans expected him to be a few hundred years old.
But in an interview during Black Panther 2’s promotional tour in Nigeria, Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor in Black Panther Wakanda Forever, confirmed that the Underwater King is much older. In fact, according to him, it is 500 years old.
Check out the interview below:
Who is older than him in Avengers?
Thor
At 500 years old, King Talokan is head and shoulders older than any other Avenger except Thor, which is 1500 years old in the MCU. As such, Namor is older than Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Black Widow! In fact, he’s also older than their combined ages.
So it will be interesting to see if age has shrunk it or made it worse. Looking at the clips and trailers, he seems to have anger issues and it has already been revealed that his name, Namor, means ‘a loveless boy‘. So it ties into issues that will hopefully be explored in the movie and in the MCU in the future.
