Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool has got to be one of the greatest slam dunks in the history of gory parody characters breaking the fourth wall. Without any sense of self-preservation, the Marvel comic book anti-hero has mastered the art of being a perfect mercenary and not raising questions about redemption, repentance or even morality, to the end of the day. Combining this with one of the most troubled and reluctant superheroes, living in grief and wanting to be forgotten, it will make for an excellent masterpiece, unparalleled in the history of CBM films.

Ryan Reynolds talks Wolverine’s return to Dead Pool 3
In an interview with Collider, Ryan Reynolds claimed he couldn’t take credit for what was essentially Hugh Jackman’s idea. Also, about 4 years ago, talks of a Deadpool x Wolverine reunion began to take shape, creating a chat room between Jackman, Reynolds and Marvel President Kevin Feige to figure out the best way to achieve it.
“It’s not like adding Hugh Jackman to a movie like this is a hard sell. It’s an immediate and emphatic yes, without reservations. There’s a lot of moving parts and Fox and X-Men and everything this kind of stuff that Marvel has to sort out. A lot of paperwork to get it done. And they did. And I’m really grateful that they did it, because for me, working with Hugh is a dream come true. But working with Logan and having Logan and Wade together in a movie is beyond any dream that I would be daring enough to have. So I’m really, really super excited to do this movie.

The timeliness of this theory only began to solidify when Hugh Jackman kicked off the conversation between the right parties at the right time. Reynolds further revealed,
“My first encounter with Kevin Feige when Disney bought Fox years ago, maybe three years ago, or three and a half years, four years, I’m not sure, was to make a movie with the two of us, a movie Deadpool Wolverine. And that wasn’t possible at the time. And then Hugh just called at that perfect moment and expressed that he’d be interested in coming back and doing that one more time. And the content of that conversation … I’ll let Hugh answer on his own. But he expressed interest in coming back, and then it was my job to bring him back to Kevin Feige one more time and sell him.
