After a long hiatus from watching Daniel Radcliffe play Harry Potter on sets, HBO Max’s Head of Original Content has given fans hope that the franchise will return to the small screen. For many years, the Harry Potter film franchise has been making waves by adapting the seven books in the series into eight blockbuster films. However, the golden age ended with the latest film, Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (2011).
The CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav has taken the liberty of teasing future plans for more Harry Potter projects to be developed with JK Rowlings involved, despite his recent controversies.

“We are really going to focus on the franchises. We haven’t had a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t made a Harry Potter movie for 15 years. The DC movies and the Harry Potter movies provided a lot of profit for Warner Bros. Motion Pictures over the past 25 years. One of the big advantages we have, House of the Dragon, is an example of that with Game of Thrones. Enjoying Sex and the City. Lord of the Rings, we still have the right to make Lord of the Rings movies. » says Zaslav.
It’s also been reported that Zaslav is planning to remake the entire franchise, allowing us to relive the experience for the first time once more.
Possible end of the Fantastic Beast series

However, it’s a mystery whether production on the next two films will ever begin as Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets was met with disappointing box office returns.
Even David Zaslav’s comment, “We haven’t made a Harry Potter movie for 15 years”indicated that he might not consider the fantastic beasts deductible equivalent to the Harry Potter franchise.
