Avatar: The Last Airbender had a wonderful run when it came to animated projects. The success of the two anime shows inspired the showrunners to turn their latest project into a full-fledged feature film. 2005 kicked off the characters in the story and it continued through 2008, giving Nickelodeon a smash hit. 2012 then marked the return of the franchise with The Legend of Korra.
This will now continue with a film which is also in the works with Paramount on board. Although the film is still in its early production stages and remains untitled, there has already been a release date and fans are thrilled.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Movie Release Date Finally Set
2025 will see the animated film for Avatar: The Last Airbender come to life on October 10. Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, there’s still no further news on the film as it’s only just beginning to take shape. Being just the first of a three-part project, fans of the franchise are definitely in for a ride.
As for the plot, there still happens to be no news about it given how early the making of the film has begun. However, what can be confirmed is that Aang, Korra, Sokka, Katara, and Toph would all return to the project. The Nickelodeon series has become an acclaimed fan favorite, making them increasingly yearn for what the creators have in store for audiences.

Avatar: The Last Airbender brought about brilliant stories and characters that were seen in depth and properly explored. The different worlds were also fascinating and left fans wanting to learn more about the lore. The upcoming movie would be very similar, having been created by the makers of these anime series.
