Black Panther: Wakanda Forever found its way both to theaters and into the hearts of audiences on November 11. Keeping aside the brilliant script and the introduction of two powerful characters, the movie was an emotional ride. wakanda forever did everything to pay tribute to the late actor, Chadwick Boseman. There may have been only a few who didn’t have tears in their eyes at those times.
Branches from the life of Wakanda’s beloved King T’challa followed the film through the mid-credits scene. The scene not only sends a positive shock around the theater, but it also makes a promise about what will happen in the future of the Black Panther franchise. Producer Nate Moore recently revealed that the mid-credits scene was planned very early.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’The mid-credits scene turned out to be quite emotional for most viewers as it has to do with the now deceased King of Wakanda. It shows Nakia calling a grieving Shuri. Nakia has a young boy standing with her who she claims is Toussaint, her son, at first. It was later revealed that Toussaint was actually called, T’Challa, after his father.
This mid-credits scene didn’t just add an emotional edge to the film. It also moves audiences to what they should expect from Wakanda’s story. As it turns out, the scene was planned a while ago, almost right after Chadwick Boseman passed away.
In an interview with Collider, producer Nate Moore revealed that he knew “rather early” that this was the scene that was going to be shown in the middle of the credits. He further added that the first draft of Black Panther after itself had the scene written in it. In fact, the whole idea of introducing T’Challa’s child into the film was considered even before Boseman passed away.
“Rather early. I mean that was always the end of the movie pretty much since Chad passed away. I think the first draft we had had that in there. The notion of a character introduced in the scene actually predates Chad’s passing, to be completely honest. But it was refocused thematically after Chad passed away.
Moore beautifully said the introduction of T’Challa’s son came across as a “renewal after the time of adversity”, what he did. There’s no way to tell what will happen in the Wakandans’ next adventure. But one thing is for sure, they now have a new member in their team. It’s exciting to think about how Nakia and T’Challa’s son is shaping the future of Wakanda.

When it comes to Marvel, movies are notorious for having post-credits scenes and sometimes post-credits and mid-credits scenes. However, wakanda forever just had the mid-credits scene in the movie. Why? Well, Moore has an answer to that.
Moore denied rumors that there would ever be a scene after the credits end. He said that was not the case, due to what the film represents, adding that “The subject of the film was such that it didn’t seem appropriate to have a stinger.
He linked the film to Avengers: Endgame which was an emotional rollercoaster on its own, so it didn’t require any post-credits scenes. Moore is right. While most Marvel movies have hilarious treats at the end, wakanda forever was one of those films that required none. Everything that needed to be said was said in the film itself.
