Marvel Studios is reportedly planning something big for their upcoming team-up venture titled Love at first sight. Popularly known as Marvel’s answer to DC’s Suicide Squad, the team features a group of reformed villains and anti-heroes who are used by the government to fight various threats. As they’re officially set to make their MCU debut, Red Guardian actor David Harbor has claimed the movie will be a big surprise for fans.
The MCU has set up the Love at first sight for a while. The popular Marvel comics team will be led by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the MCU. The declaration of the stranger things the actor came around around the same time we had a major tie-in with the recently released black panther 2.
David Harbor reports a big surprise in Love at first sight
The stranger things the actor was introduced to the MCU via the 2021 film Black Widow. He played the role of Red Guardian aka Alexei Shostakov and will play a major role in the upcoming team movie.
According to David Harbour, the upcoming movie will be a full entertainment package and even has a “huge bomb” which will surprise the public.
“It will be funny. it will be bizarre, it will be action. And then we’re also going to drop a bomb, which is cool.
As the project is still in its infancy, it is too difficult to guess the surprise for us. But the last black panther 2 features an unexpected cameo regarding the Thunderbolts that hints at something big brewing in the studio.

Valentina or Val has been there in the MCU since The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. She had several cameos after the series, which hinted that she could be an influential villain in the MCU world. But the Phase 4 conclusion movie points to a shift in the narrative. black panther 2 showed Val as the new CIA director under whom Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross operated.
This points to an interesting take on the story, as it can be shown to have infiltrated the US government in a very similar way to what we saw in Captain America: The Winter Soldier with the character of Robert Redford. Interestingly, during her conversation with her former husband Everett Ross, she also said that she wanted the United States to take over all Vibranium and use it.
Many rumors conclude that this can be a major setup for the Love at first sight. One of the most reliable sources, DanielRPK, reported that the team of Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian and the others will attack Wakanda in the team movie. But still, everything is in a speculation phase until we receive more details about the movie which is expected to release in 2024.

In addition to Julia Louis-Dreyfus by Fontaine, we will also see Thunderbolt Ross by Harrison Ford which will be presented in Captain America: New World Order. Additionally, we also have Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyat Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen’s Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster all returning. Seems like Love at first sight is going to be an electrifying project to look forward to.
Love at first sight will be released on July 26, 2024.
