Dragon House had a lot of parallels to Game of Thrones, especially when it came to the characters and their traits. Many new and amazing characters were introduced during the reign of Targaryen. But like game of thrones, there were a few this time around that you would end up hating. And one of them is none other than Ser Criston Cole, played by Fabien Frankel. He’s a salty dude because he continued to hate Rhaenyra. Apparently, Fabien Frankel was also jealous of Rhaenyra actor Milly Alcock in real life, and fans had some interesting reactions to that.
On-screen rivalries aside, the cast involved in the first season of Dragon House stuck pretty well behind the scenes. And one of the best friendships formed is between Daemon Targaryen actor Matt Smith and Fabien Frankel. Although they’re sworn to different on-screen queens, they’re best friends off-camera! In fact, looking at their photos relaxing, rumors started circulating that the two actors were dating. And Frankel said something else that would spice up those rumors even more.

Fabien Frankel’s love for Matt Smith
The British actor recently attended Comic Con Stockholm and he revealed something that has people questioning his sexuality. We’ve seen how Criston Cole stopped supporting Rhaenyra when she practically broke her oath of chastity, tainted her honor, and then turned down the offer to marry him. From then on, he was totally anti-Rhaenyra and swore to protect Queen Alicent instead. But maybe a kiss from Daemon could have solved that problem. While Criston Cole hates Rhaenyra for not being completely honorable, Fabien Frankel admitted to being jealous of Milly Alcock because she was able to kiss Matt Smith and not him!

This isn’t the first time Frankel has expressed his admiration for his partner. Previously, in an interview with The Times of London, Frankel said he found Matt Smith really “sexy” as Daemon. He said:
“Matt is so damn sexy on this show, it’s the sexiest I’ve ever seen him”

Hail Matt Smith
Matt Smith is among the most sassy men alive and he showed it in not one, but two 2022 projects. Before establishing his dominance as Daemon Targaryen, he also appeared as a vampire villain, Loxius Crown, and gave us this epic moment:
Sure, Morbius was a hideous movie, and Crown was a pretty one-dimensional character. But Matt Smith still had a lot of fun playing it and he made sure that all the people who torture themselves with a projection of Morbius would at least get something out of it!
Dragon House season 2 will presumably return in 2024. So that’s when Frankel and Smith would return as enemies! Dragon House Season 1 is currently streaming on HBO Max.
