But once, one of the roles was so deep and realistic that it landed him and his co-star Michelle Williams in a ratings battle with the American Censor Board.
This particular movie in question is blue valentine, which starred Ryan Gosling and Michelle William, and contained many intimate scenes, executed with such perfection that even talking about it puts a smug look on Gosling’s face.

When the first images of the 2010 film blue valentine hit theaters, it was a bit of a shock to audiences to see how real it all was, and we’re not talking 3D real. the film focused on reviving a couple’s relationship, which takes a long time “practice” spin when they do. In one particular scene, Ryan Gosling is seen performing oral sex on Michelle Williams, which sparked a classification battle in America. The film eventually received an R rating from the censor board, but fans were still nervous with the raw passion the two actors displayed in the film.

Ryan Gosling, speaking of the whole scene, told The Guardian:
“The sex felt real – it wasn’t a sexy or ‘as*x’ scene, and that’s why we got in trouble. You shouldn’t be penalized for doing a good job.
On top of that, his co-star Michelle Williams also opened up about it with Reuters, saying:
“I thought to myself, ‘I’ve never seen this before in a film and I’m proud to be the first’. Kudos to us for making this possible. As a woman in the situation in question, I I found absolutely nothing outrageous, flashy or disgusting.

As previously mentioned, Ryan Gosling is set to be the face of Ken in the upcoming Barbie film. He was reportedly excited for his role as the male lead in the film alongside Margot Robbie who will play the role of Barbie. While on the other hand, we saw Michelle Williams starring alongside Tom Hardy in Venom and more Venom: let there be carnage, playing the role of Anne Wyeing, Eddie Brock’s ex-fiancée.
