Dave Chappelle owns the SNL scene in a 15-minute speech
Inside Rockefeller Center’s Studio 8H, Chappelle kicked off his monologue strong with a commentary on Ye, also known as hip-hop artist Kanye West. The comedian commented:
“I speak out against anti-Semitism in all its forms and stand with my friends in the Jewish community – and that’s how Kanye saves you time.”
Chappelle added that he had been to Hollywood and seen many Jews. “But that don’t mean nothing, you know what I mean? There’s a lot of black people in Ferguson, Missouri, but that doesn’t mean we run the place.” His statement drew mixed reactions from netizens on social media.
The host immediately moved on to the subject of the midterm elections. Chappelle talked about Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker who would run against Democratic incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock. The comedian claimed he didn’t want to say anything negative about Walker because of his ethnicity, but he continued: “I have to admit he is obviously stupid.”
Then Chappelle went on to explain why the masses love Donald Trump, especially in his hometown of Ohio. He called the former president “honest liar.” He added, “He’s an honest liar. He said, “I know the system is rigged because I use it.”

Chappelle faces controversies with the LGBTQ community
Over the past few years, Chappelle has created buzz among the transgender community for her comments, especially after the show was aired by Netflix. The closest. This sparked a protest march among LGBTQ members outside the company’s office. Netflix co-head Ted Sarandos addressed the issue and said, “We work hard to support their creative freedom, even if that means there will always be content on Netflix that some people find harmful.”
In a sold-out show at the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl, Dave Chappelle made several jokes about transgender people. The comedian was attacked on stage by a man carrying a fake weapon. The striker claimed that Chappelle’s show was “trigger.”
Fans, however, are blown away by the comedian’s SNL speech. Check out their reactions on Twitter:
Dave Chappelle gave a monologue that gave everyone something to laugh about and everyone to be a little offended about. That’s what comedy really is and it’s great that he had the platform to do it again days after the election. @nbcsnl

The only problem with Dave Chappelle hosting SNL is that after the opening monologue you realize the show would be 10 times better if they just let him stand the whole time.
