We’ve seen two major movies come out of two of the biggest superhero movie studios in the span of thirty days. Black Adam was the eleventh DCEU movie that gave us a much-anticipated surprise at the end of the film (or after the credits), while the MCU Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was a fitting homage to the late former protagonist Chadwick Boseman.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever earned over $80 million in its opening week, which is at least a difference of $20 million+ from black adamthe $67 million opening (boxofficemojo.com). It was a revelation for the latter, given that Dwayne Johnson has a reputation for making blockbuster movies, but it seems his film has fallen behind in another aspect as well.

Fans Say Black Panther 2’s ‘Anti-Hero’ Is Better Written Than Black Adam
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently strong at the box office with a worldwide box office record of over $110 million, and given the MCU’s reputation for making blockbuster movies, it will surely top black adam in this domain.
But that’s not the only aspect of the Dwayne Johnson-directed film that’s been used for comparison with the MCU’s last major release. It seems Johnson’s old ghosts are coming back to haunt him!
A few years ago when wakanda foreverTenoch Huerta was still waiting for the fatal job of playing Namor, Johnson reportedly took over the role. However, as history tells us, he switched sides and moved on to the DCEU and now stands strong with a standalone film that seeks to bring relevance back to the DCEU.
Fans were quick to compare the WWE star’s anti-hero film with wakanda forever anti-hero character, Namor.

A major aspect that was criticized was how poorly Teth-Adam was written compared to Namor. The former was criticized for having no reasonable grounds to perform a good deed while maintaining an anti-hero persona, while the latter was praised for having, well, concrete reasoning behind his actions.
Fans laughed at Twitter-

Quite the insult-
Namor did Black Adam better than Black Adam

Do you think he did a better job? –
Namor is literally the anti-hero that Black Adam should have been #WakandaForever #BlackAdam pic.twitter.com/aCdU7Am1xI

A glaring error? –
Namor proves my whole point about Black Adam. Should never have had a solo movie. Would have killed as a character in someone else’s movie.

Hey, he gave us back Henry Cavill! –
It pains me to say this, but Dwayne Johnson put 15 years of blood and sweat into developing Black Adam only for Namor to be much better written as an anti-hero. I personally blame my idol Geoff Johns.

Just like the 4th fan tweet here, black adam would certainly have performed better as a supporting character in another DCEU film. The best candidate being that of 2019 Shazam!

Black Panther 2 and Black Adam may not see theatrical performances in China
Like most Hollywood movies, black adam and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever could also very well be heading for a no-show in Chinese theaters, which would be a major loss in terms of worldwide box office revenue for both films.
China has one of the largest theatrical spaces in the world, so it would make sense for Warner Bros. and Marvel want to take advantage of that, which makes the ability to pull their latest two titles from their China release very important.

The Hollywood Reporter says that according to Chinese industry insider sources, both black adam and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will never see the light of day in the country for certain reasons.
The likely reason the former is facing a ban is because Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate) is in the film, who posted an old photo a few years ago of his family posing with the Dalai Lama (the Tibet issue -China, for example). the reverse), it therefore has an obvious political reasoning.
The latter’s likely reason for a possible ban in the world’s most populous country may be because of the film’s portrayal of two odd characters – Wakandan warrior Aneka and Dora Ayo’s bodyguard, who are both in love with each other in the film.
These reasons, however, are not surprising considering that China in general does not like the cultural influence that Hollywood films could bring to the Chinese crowd.
