Here Are All The Avengers References In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Looks like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever pulled it off brought the MCU out of its slump. The film has grossed over $300 million worldwide and is poised to do more. Critics and audiences alike praise the Letitia Wright-directed film for its deep storytelling while connecting it to the larger MCU. And one of the ways he maintained the interconnectedness typically seen in Marvel movies is by naming the Avengers. So here are all the Marvel heroes the movie name has dropped:

Iron Man

The first reference we get from Tony is in the scene where Shuri and Okoye are in Riri’s garage and are surrounded by feds. When the agents are armed and enter the garage, they encounter Riri in her Mark I armor. And here one of the agents notices that it looks like she is wearing an Iron Man suit.

And that’s the first verbal reference to an Avenger or MCU hero that we get in the movie. Of course, apart from that there are also a lot of deliberate visuals parallels between ironheart and iron man during the movie. And it’s not just the fact that their armors are called “Mark”.

The ant Man

The Ant-Man reference in Black Panther 2 is much sneakier. It is not a verbal but rather a background. In one of the TV reports, we see a scrolling headline indicating that Scott Lang has finally published his book. It’s an autobiography called “Look Out For The Little Guy”.

Now, it’s a perfect Easter egg that fits more into Ms. Marvel as well as the Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania trailer. The two suggested that Scott found a unique way to make money from his time fighting with the Avengers.

Thor and Valkyrie

Thor isn’t directly referenced in the film, but just like with Ant-Man, there’s a scrolling news headline during one of the reports that references New Asgard. This is a new treaty that is being negotiated there. Since Valkyrie is now the king of New Asgard, she could therefore be the one presiding over the negotiations. Or maybe Thor is. Hopefully the next movies will give us more information about this.

The Hulk reference comes quite late in the film. When everyone goes to M’baku to discuss Namor and his powers, he says that the Underwater King is as strong as the Hulk. This confirmation of Namor’s strength should come as no surprise to people since Ryan Coogler previously clarified that the Talokan King is as strong as Hulk and Thor.

These are all the Easter Eggs we’ve been able to nab regarding the Avengers. Didn’t you catch anymore? Let us know.
