black panther 2, directed by Ryan Coogler, proved to be a huge success. The film paid homage to the late Chadwick Boseman and added depth to Namor’s portrayal. Knowing Coogler’s talent when it comes to villainous characters or anti-heroes, fans are convinced that the helm of the Doctor Doom movie should only be entrusted to him. While the iconic villain has appeared on screen several times, it’s a shame a character like him hasn’t yet received the proper portrayal he deserves.
black panther 2 was to include Dr. Doom in the post-credits scene, however, expectations were dashed after it was observed that there was only one post-credits scene in the film.

Doctor Doom will be directed by Ryan Coogler
Ryan Coogler, Director of Black Panther (2018) and its sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), is well known for his portrayal of misunderstood anti-heroes. The Black Panther screenwriter was able to portray the character of Namor in a very remarkable way, despite the lack of source material for the character.
Impressed with Coogler’s work, fans urged Ryan Coogler to handle the development of Dr. Doom as well. Doom would also be made part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future. Understanding how broad Dr. Doom’s character arc is, Coogler is aware that fans want him to be included in the MCU in the right way.
“Oh yeah, I think he’s an amazing character in editing, man. You know, he’s one of the greats. And unlike Namor, there were several different portrayals of him in the movie. So I think that’s what excited me the most at Namor, where it was that there were no performances, like you don’t have any baggage from other actors, or other performances, or other movies. It was just posting for Namor. I think Doom is a little different on that, but man, what an amazing character, man. I think he’s in the favorite character list a lot people as a whole, as opposed to even just the bad guys, so I think I would understand people wanting to see Doom represented. Coogler said.
In a conversation regarding Dr. Doom’s involvement in Black Panther 2, Ryan Coogler mentioned that he didn’t read much into it.

Fans convinced Ryan Coogler to handle Dr. Doom
Dr. Doom, while considered an antagonist by many, is a more complex character than expected. Latvia, the country he leads, sees Victor Von Doom as a hero, their own beacon of hope. Knowing that such a complex character must be portrayed with the utmost perfection, fans are convinced that Coogler should feed into the production of the film.

Some of the fan comments include:
Much of Doom’s backstory is part of an oppressed minority group in his home country, then gaining knowledge and powers to overthrow that country’s monarchy and become a king who protects his people. Yeah, I’d say it fits the bill

Doom should be Coogler’s baby. He knows how to nail cultural representation and won’t drop the ball like some other MCU character introductions.

I think he would do a great job directing the story of Doom, but I’d be afraid to cast and direct the character himself. Doom is a big deal for Marvel, it needs to be done right and with the future carefully thought out

His anti-heroes are so good I can’t even hate them and I wish they had their own spinoffs.

Bearing in mind that Doom is a Roma character, it makes sense for a talented Roma actor to take on the role rather than a white industry actor.
