It seems Emily Blunt isn’t a big fan of playing strong and bold quintessential female characters and would rather not take the role at all than “be firm”.

Written and directed by the author of Rising black earthHugo Blick, the series sees Emily Blunt’s character Lady Cornelia Locke bent on a vendetta as she sets out for the American West to avenge her dead son.
Speaking of his character in this new British-American series, The girl on the train The star has revealed how much she loves playing the role of Lady Cornelia, while highlighting her aversion to roles that require her to look good. Of course, his role in English indeed includes a strong woman driven by revenge, but it is also someone who is “innocent,” what is the Jungle Cruise the actress prefers a tougher female role.

Emily Blunt says she doesn’t like to play a “strong female role”
Asked about her character in English, Emily Blunt said she had a gala time playing Lady Cornelia and was particularly in awe of her hopefulness on the show. “I love a character with a secret” the Sicario said the star. “And I loved Cornelia’s buoyancy, her hope, her candor.”
But Blunt seems to despise him when a script calls for his character to be a badass instead. Here’s what she had to say about playing the role of a “strong female leader”:
“It’s the worst thing ever when you open a script and read the words ‘strong female lead’. It makes me roll my eyes – I’m already out. I’m bored. These roles are written as incredibly stoic, you spend all your time acting tough and saying tough things.

The wild target the actress apparently yearns for a role that requires something more than just being strong, as she remarked that the character of Cornelia was “more surprising than that.”
“She is innocent without being naive and that makes her a force to be reckoned with,” Blunt explained. “She startles Eli out of her silence and their differences become moot as they need each other to survive. I thought that was very cool.
If so, the possibility of Blunt playing the superhero character Susan Storm in the next MCU film could become obscure.

Various rumors have been circulating on the internet about how The edge of tomorrowThe actress would be perfect to play the invisible woman in the next Marvel movie. The Fantastic Four scheduled for release in a few years.

But now that the award-winning actress has revealed her clear choices when it comes to doing movies or shows saying she doesn’t like doing “hard” roles, Susan Storm might just be irrelevant because ultimately she is a superhero and the script is going to portray the character in such a light that she comes across as a strong and intense female character, which is exactly what Blunt seems to dislike.
The Fantastic Four should be released in 2025.
