With Margot Robbie not playing the role of Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp fans are elated but behaving sarcastically about his loss. Fans are crossing their fingers hoping that Johnny Depp will return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6. Depp has been Jack Sparrow for all five POTC film series so far and is expected to return for the next attempt. Robbie was to play the role of Jack Sparrow’s daughter. The owners of the franchise had signed Margot Robbie in the upcoming POTC film, which was supposed to be directed by a woman. However, fan reactions were most likely the reason it was canceled.
Margot Robbie no longer stars in Pirates Reboot
Margot Robbie thinks the producers don’t want to do the movie anymore because she said the movie wasn’t working with her anymore. She revealed that they came up with the idea of developing a script that would have more female leads. However, that didn’t work out with the producers, which ended Robbie’s journey with the franchise.
“The Pirates of the Caribbean movie is dead, we had an idea and we had been developing it for a while, a very long time ago, to have more of a female-led story – not totally female-led, but just another kind of of history – which we thought would be really cool, but I guess they don’t want to do it. Margot Robbie said in a recent interview.

Seeing the news on Twitter, Johnny Depp fans bombarded the social media platform with replies and re-tweets about it. They mockingly joked about being sad at the news. They even accused Robbie of being canceled by Disney.

Fans have tweeted and re-tweeted about it and it doesn’t seem like they’re stopping there. Many of them said they wouldn’t watch the movie if Depp didn’t return as Jack Sparrow. Also, they claimed that no one could replace him in the lead role, as it is one of the main elements of the franchise that made it so successful.

Margot Robbie is out, fans want Disney to bring Johnny Depp back
Margot Robbie leaving the franchise could very well mean Johnny Depp taking over the role. Although the producers have said they won’t be taking Depp back, at least not yet, after the whole Depp v Heard debacle. But Depp fans are now justifying his advantage after winning the lawsuit against his ex-wife.

Johnny Depp is considered the life of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and would hopefully join if Disney offered the role again. But we must not forget that Depp, during the defamation lawsuit, declared that he would not be Jack Sparrow again for all the tea in China. Only time will tell what awaits this world famous franchise.
