Since the events took place in Spider-Man: No Coming Home, fans went wild over the return of the Spider-Men from the past. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the very talented actors who starred as Spider-Man and Peter Parker before Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU was a thing, were seen in Spider-Man’s latest solo movie made by Marvel Studios. These two versions of Peter Parker coming together to battle the villains of their respective universes was a dream come true for any MCU fan.
But after the credits, fans had no intention of it being a one-off thing as they demanded that they both be brought back as Spider-Man to their big screen universes.
When this recent request reached the ears of The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield, he had something else to say about it. He expressed his joy at playing Spider-Man on the big screen again, although he made it clear that he had no interest in future Amazing Spider-Man films.
Andrew Garfield has no interest in The Amazing Spider-Man 3
Andrew Garfield was part of many successful films in the last years of his career. To be part of films like The social dilemma and hacksaw crest to his most iconic role as Peter Parker in Sony The Amazing Spider-Man series, he left the audience more than satisfied with all of his performances. But when the MCU saw Garfield’s version of Spider-Man, starring Tobey Maguire, it was like a divine being answered the prayers fans sang.

At the end of Spider-Man: No Coming Home, When Tom Holland bids farewell to his other versions, audiences can’t help but suppress their emotions, which ultimately led to them demanding to bring these actors back as Spider-Man to the big screen once again. But when GQ asked Andrew Garfield if he wanted to do The Amazing Spider-Man 3he quietly explains his reason why he wouldn’t want to reprise his role as the incredible web-slinger in the third installment of his canceled film series.
“But do [No Way Home] was really just beautiful enough. Gotta treat it like a Spider-Man short with buddies. The pressure was off me. Everything rested on Tom’s shoulders. Like, it’s his trilogy. And Tobey and I were there to be supportive and have the best time we could, actually, and be as inventive and imaginative and a little silly as possible. You know, between the three of us, I was like, Oh shit, this is going to be interesting. You have three people who really own this character. But it was really, like, brotherhood first, I think. And I think that comes through in what we shot.
Garfield also reveals that his and Tobey Maguire’s only role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Coming Home was so they could support Tom Holland as the Spider-Man who was in the spotlight. They shared their wisdom with Holland’s Peter Parker to guide him through Spider-Man’s ways and the responsibilities they must shoulder.

Will we see them again?
Seeing fans of new and old Spider-Man movies demanding the return of these stars as friendly neighborhood web-slingers is too contentious an opportunity for any studio to pass up. There have been a lot of rumors and talk about how or when we’ll see them, but as of now, nothing is set in stone. We should just keep calm and wait to see what we get, whether it’s from Sony Pictures or Marvel Studios.
