One of America’s most renowned filmmakers, Zack Snyder shared an extremely moving message on Twitter today, remembering his daughter, Autumn Snyder, who passed away a few years ago.

After having a long and successful relationship with DC, the director said goodbye to Justice League in March 2017 to put his family first after the death of his daughter, with 2021 Snyder Cup being his last project in the arena. And while fans have been hoping for his return to create more of his iconic films since he left, he’s highly unlikely to reclaim that position. But whether that happens or not, Zack Snyder is someone who is dear and beloved to the DC fandom and his recent tweet is one of the many reasons why.

Zack Snyder thanks ZSJL fans and asks them to honor his daughter
Zack Snyder shared a heartfelt message on Twitter about his late daughter Autumn with a beautiful quote that she “used to sign everything with,” as he asked all of his fans to pay their respects.
“Fall used to sign everything with this quote – ‘The goal isn’t to live forever, it’s to create something that does.’ All of you who made JL real, honor her.
Not only that, but Snyder also thanked people for supporting him and his movies, and especially appreciated his fans for shooting. Zack Snyder’s Justice League in reality. Fans also got emotional with the army of the dead director’s sentimental message and responded with immense respect and support, expressing their own gratitude to him and his work and praying for his deceased daughter.
The tragic death of Autumn Snyder
Autumn Snyder was born in 1996 in China and was adopted by Snyder and his ex-wife Denise Weber when she was just about a year old. She was later raised by his current wife, Deborah Snyder, along with their eight other children.
After a long and grueling battle with depression, Autumn committed suicide at the age of 20 in March 2017, a time that was extremely devastating for Snyder and his family and ultimately forced the watchmen director to prioritize his family over his job.

Autumn was known for her uncredited role in the Henry Cavill-directed Superman movie, Steel man which was looked after by her father. Snyder also paid a heartfelt tribute to him in the end credits scene. Zack Snyder’s Justice League with the words “For the fall” displayed on the screen. Since her death, Snyder fans have managed to raise a whopping sum of around half a million dollars for the AFSP and helped the screenwriter raise awareness about suicide prevention.
The fall lives on in the hearts of countless Snyder fans, as does his work.
