Black Panther: Wakanda Forever brought Letitia Wright to the fore as she took the lead in Chadwick Boseman’s absence. With her outstanding performance, she is backed as a strong contender for the upcoming Oscars campaign. But its smooth running was slightly marred by a recent report from a leading publication. It hints at how his Oscar chances could be affected by personal controversies, and Wright just didn’t take it lightly. She retorted to the reporter about her ‘Repugnant’ report and I had some interesting comments to make.
Letitia Wright Strikes Back
The likes of Will Smith and Brad Pitt have been under pressure due to the controversies they have been embroiled in. But a recent report also mentioned Letitia Wright’s name with the other two actors. She’s been pretty outspoken about the whole issue of vaccines as she’s been embroiled in an anti-vax controversy before wakanda forever filming finished. And when a recent report on “Oscar Chances” mentioned how her opinions in the past could affect her shot at an Oscar, she downright trashed the reporter in her Instagram Story.

The 29-year-old actor mentioned that the outlet has “a personal vendetta against [her]”, and what they wrote was “incredibly disrespectful” She wrote:
“I had to unblock The Hollywood Reporter just to post this. Scott Feinberg and all at this post. Y’all are incredibly disrespectful. How dare you. You mentioned my name alongside men who have been accused of abuse and sexual misconduct. This is despicable behavior. At this point, a personal vendetta against me. I did nothing wrong but I respectfully decline to do any interviews with this publication. Stop your nonsense. I apologized TWO years ago. Kept quiet about it. You lied and said I kept talking about it with my cast and crew on my set. IT WAS NOT TRUE. ASK MY PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR The film was a success Your agenda with me is now even clearer I will not remain silent Stop your disgusting behavior.
And it didn’t end with just one story.

Wright also posted a follow-up article in response to Scott Feinberg, the reporter who mentioned her in his Oscars reporting. She said:
“This personal diary with your Hollywood Reporter friends is disgusting. I stayed silent as the world told me to kill myself two years ago for a video I posted and apologized for. J kept my head down and focused on my craft. And now I’m on the other side. There you are, as a so-called journalist we’re supposed to trust, putting my name in this nasty article for what? You lack substance, you clearly have nothing to report. The film is beautiful, hard-hitting and groundbreaking at the box office. I worked hard with my cast and crew to dedicate it to my brother. How dare you. Did my performance shake you so much? It was great huh? I’m still here, I’m making an impact, I’m still creating projects that touch people’s hearts and it’s not okay not stop. Get a life, like for real.

What about his Oscar campaign?
There was a bit of drama created between Wright and Marvel Studios before wakanda forever was back on track, but it was all handled well. The actress even claimed that she had already apologized and had remained silent ever since. It’s all been water under the bridge and there’s no way his past feelings are getting in the way of his chances of rewards. She has a right to defend herself, and that’s exactly what she did with her latest Instagram Stories.
