James Cameron is unwilling to give a figure for Avatar 2 Budget
James Cameron worked on Avatar: The Way of the Water since 2013. The director is known for some of Hollywood’s greatest films. Sound 1997 Titanic became the first film to earn $2 billion at the box office. And his 2009 film Avatar remains the highest-grossing film in the world.
With the sequel set to release in a few days, everyone is curious to know how much Avatar: The Way of the Water costs. The director refused to give a fixed figure on his budget at the outset as he puts it, “Very fucking king [expensive].”
According to GQ, the director said that Avatar: The Way of the Water would need to be”the third or fourth highest-grossing film in history“just to break even. The report also claimed that Cameron informed the studio that Avatar 2 represented the worst business case in movie history.

Some have even claimed that Avatar: The Way of the Water would easily exceed End of Game, while others said it was impossible. People have also claimed that the chances of it breaking the bar are higher as it is the highest grossing movie sequel of all time.

Avatar is expected to overtake the third or fourth highest grossing film
Director James Cameron claimed that Avatar 2 will have to be the third or fourth highest-grossing film to be profitable. Given this, the film should exceed Star Wars: The Force Awakens Where Avengers: Infinity Warwho currently occupy the fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the highest-grossing films.

But always movies like Spider-Man: No Coming Home and Top Gun: Maverick managed to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office. Considering that the two films that managed to generate huge profits were sequels, Avatar: The Way of the Water can also cross the margin.
