In Loki’s season finale, Jonathan Majors makes his MCU debut as Kang, playing the antagonist as in “The one who stays.” It is unknown if Kang the Conqueror, who will be the new main antagonist of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, will make his next appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
After all, He Who Remains told Sylvia and the God of Mischief that there are more variations of him in the Multiverse, and we already know that in Loki Season 2, the God of Mischief will meet another Kang (who controls the VAT). Kang from the Ant-Man sequel was also referred to as a “warrior” instead of a “conqueror”.
Multiple variations teased by Jonathan Majors
Kang the Conqueror carries the multiverse saga, and Kevin Feigepresident of Marvel Studios, hinted that Kang will appear in “various incarnations” or “variants” over the next few years of the MCU storyline.
In a recent interview, Jonathan Majors discussed Ant-Man 3.
When asked if Kang resonated with him because he wouldn’t have to portray the same character every time, Majors said:
“Yes, without a doubt.” This is what the page shows. The IP says so. I was extremely cool. In the MCU, Kang only exists in his own reality. There are many other versions of him, but I won’t give any spoilers. It’s quite humbling that they chose me to fill this role given the immense influence, intelligence and confidence of the masterminds of the MCU. They simply work to get the most out of the intellectual property. Therefore, I consider it an honor and I am always interested in what we do.
“And of course, that’s what you’ve always dreamed of as an actor, six years after Yale and 10 years after North Carolina School of the Arts, my first acting school. Kang is a career in itself. I I don’t know if it’s the cake itself or the icing on the cake. But it’s really nice to play different interpretations. Every day is a day at work.
Will Kang appear in multiple MCU movies
Before their final showdown with the villain in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the MCU heroes of Phases 5 and 6 may encounter variations of Kang. As a result, the heroes will have a common adversary heading into the next Avengers movie, which will help explain why they need to come together.
Peyton Reed, the director of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, even said the trio will have a “profound impact” on the MCU. This claim seems to imply that the events of the film will likely trigger the many variants of Kang that Jonathan Majors and Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige alluded to.
Although we do know that Major will appear in at least a few upcoming MCU movies. You have to think he’ll make a few more unexpected appearances as well. The actor seems set to make a name for himself with this character, so it makes sense that he’s eager to step into a role he can play again and again.
