Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated MCU movies. And why wouldn’t it be? After all, Ryan Reynolds’ mercenary will finally make the leap from the Foxverse to the MCU. And he is not alone. It is bring back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine as well. And now fellow Deadpool actor Lewis Tan is hinting at a possible return to the franchise as Shatterstar.
Lewis Tan Posts Cryptic Emoticons About Deadpool 3 Return
Actor Lewis Tan played mutant superhero Shatterstar in Deadpool 2. Now he’s tweeted a series of emojis with the Deadpool 3 hashtag that may hint at his return to the MCU movie. Here is the tweet:

Lewis Tan’s tweet is particularly curious because in Deadpool 2, Shatterstar fell into the sharp rotating blades of a helicopter and died. We have all seen his green blood strewn everywhere. As such, the possibility of his return would have been impossible. But according to Tan’s tweet, he might be in the sequel after all.
How will Shatterstar return to the film?
This isn’t the first time Lewis Tan has tweeted about Deadpool 3. After Hugh Jackman’s return was confirmed, Tan responded with a series of emojis indicating a possible return. And now, if we consider the recent set of emoji, it’s clear something is afoot. Also, we believe that his return is possible.
After all, it’s rumored that Deadpool 3 will deal with the multiverse as the mercenary with the mouth travels through various universes to reach that of the MCU. And along the way, he’ll meet several other characters from the Foxverse movie series along with Marvel characters. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine would be just one. It has also been said that X-23 by Dafne Keen and the fantastic four will also be in the film.
But what gives the multiverse theory more credence are the rumors about Owen Wilson and VAT be in the movie. Thus, during his multiversal adventure, the mercenary who breaks the fourth wall could meet the Shatterstar of another universe.
Another speculation is that when Wade Wilson used Cable’s time travel device in the last film to go back in time, he must have revived Shatterstar as well. After all, in the monologue, Ryan Reynolds says there are “off-screen events” that are about to happen.
Or maybe Shatterstar’s claims of being from Mojoworld are actually true and that his build is indeed superior to humans. And so some alien magic or technology could have brought him back from the dead. However, since neither Ryan Reynolds nor Marvel has confirmed Lewis Tan’s role in the film, so for now we have to decipher his emoji-filled tweet.
What do you think of Lewis Tan’s tweet? Is he just trolling? Where is he in the movie?
