This research is significant because this plays a very important role in the habits and the personality of an individual. It was a part that was left by neuroscience but now when we have got aware of it. It’s important to understand it because it largely affects the development of a person and his social behavior and important component of life experience one has.

Motherhood had been studied earlier by the neuroscientist well and after that, it was thought it is fathers who take care of the child and affectionate about them but the aspect of grandmother has changed the idea and it might be a time that grandmothers are much closer to the children than parents.

In the research, there were 50 participants taken into consideration who were given a questionnaire about questions such as how much affectionate they are towards their grandchildren. What are the activities they do with them and how does it makes them feel, them around.

Also after that, they had undergone a magnetic resonance technique where different pictures were shown like of their grandchild, some other child, parent of the grandchild of same-sex and of some random person they never met.

The results revealed that according to the questionnaire most of the grandmothers were very close and affectionate towards the grandchild and have shared a special bond they enjoy spending time with them and feel happier around them.

Also when magnetic resonance technique resolves was observed the brain had the most activity and was sympathetic at the time when they were shown the picture of their grandchild. There is definitely some kind of parental caregiving system in the brain according to which one acts and this research is evidence of it.

The only drawback in the research was that they had selected highly active and energetic grandmothers who were healthy both mentally and physically. But definitely, this research had so much more to give which can be further identified by a little more effort and can bring significant understanding about one behavior and habits.
