When the Covid 19 outbreak was at its peak, the demand for the vaccination also increased. The Federal Government encouraged vaccine manufacturers to come up with a vaccination to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The CEO & Pfizer Company Possess Confidence In Paxlovid
Pfizer was amongst the major contenders of the vaccination which got approval by the WHO and US Central Government to vaccinate the entire population. Along with Pfizer, Moderna also received the authorization.
As per reports and studies, Pfizer showed promising results after the vaccination drive started. At first adult people aged 65 and above were eligible to receive vaccination and with time the eligibility increased.
The Director of NIH and Chief Medial Adviser has communicated to President Biden that we need 2-3 weeks’ time to analyze the symptoms and severity of the Omicron variant. They also focussed on the point that since there is no evidence if the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be effective or not fight this newly detected covid 19 variant in South Africa.
After the Statement from the NIH Director, today the CEO of Pfizer Albert Bourla announced to the press that he is having a high level of confidence that Pfizer will surely manufacture a vaccine to curb the Omicron variant of Covid 19. The dedicated team at Pfizer has already started working on analyzing this new variant and research studies show that our team will be able to launch a vaccine to curb this variant within 100 days.
He also said that the confidence level is high because of the reason as we already are serving the people of the nation by manufacturing vaccines for the initial variant and the delta variant.
Dr. Fauci and US CDC are stressing the fact that vaccination is the only way to protect unvaccinated citizens and adults who have received both vaccines must check their eligibility and receive the booster shots as soon as possible.
Since there are no cases of Omicron Variant in the States, but the health experts and central agencies have directed the hospitals to increase the general beds and ICU beds as if there will be any outbreak of Omicron in the United States then we must be prepared for the worse situation.
Earlier this month Pfizer also applied for the approval of its antiviral Pill “Paxlovid” to the US Food and Drug Administration to help in the treatment of the Covid 19 virus. The CEO of Pfizer also said that the antiviral pills will be very effective if the Omicron variant spreads in the States. The antiviral pills from Pfizer have shown effective results by reducing the hospitalization and death rate by approximately 80 percent as per the train conducted by the company on people above 18 age.
The Company is also expecting to manufacture over 80 million courses of pills. Also, this month The White House Administration already ordered 10 million antiviral pill Paxlovid from Pfizer in a $5 billion deal.
