The rise of this new Covid 19 variant has become a major concern for every country now. Though its origin is from South Africa slowly and gradually this new variant is crossing borders very easily.
President Biden Focusing On Increasing Vaccine Rate
As per reports the newly added countries in the list of this covid 19 variant are Italy, India, United Kingdom, and in some days the experts are expecting more countries to receive the cases of Omicron.
The US Centers for Disease and Control Prevention has stated that The United States Of America is yet to receive its first Omicron variant case. The President of the USA has expressed his concern and has stated that this virus has become a concern but there is no need to panic and create a sense of Havoc amongst the citizens.
After the news of the outbreak of The Central Government banned South Africa and Its neighboring countries where the spread was very high. The eight countries which have been banned by President Joe Biden include South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, and Eswatini.
The health experts have said that despite restricting traveling from these countries, we won’t be able to stop this virus from entering the borders of the United States. In the meanwhile, there will be some time available for the vaccine manufacturers to analyze and study the virus in order to manufacture a new vaccine or optimize the original one.
The US President Joe Biden and The Chief Medical Adviser to the Biden Administration are urging all the citizens who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated to receive the jabs before it becomes too late for them to handle the situation. He also stated that our major focus is to increase the vaccination rate in the country which is 60 percent amongst the fully vaccinated and 82 percent amongst the partially vaccinated citizens.
We are not in favor of putting harsh restrictions on people if this variant spreads and our medical agencies are on high alert and have been directed to increase the medical supplies in the hospitals and other clinics.
As per the studies, In the USA approximately 90 percent of the cases are from unvaccinated people and it has become a matter of concern and Dr. Fauci also said that there is no reason for the people not to get the vaccination done. So, especially the people who are yet to receive their initial dose of the vaccine of Pfizer or Moderna must get it done very soon as vaccination is the only protection level.
Medical experts around the world have expressed a sigh of relief that this new Covid 19 variant Omicron can also be detected through a PCR test. The vaccination is becoming ineffective over the course of time and adults of 18 years and above who are eligible to receive booster shots must get it done very soon as it will help to improve the immune system.
